A ceremony of sorts.

It has come to my attention that there are people who read this blog and enjoy our antics. People who we don't know in person. People we have not directly given a link nor threatened with bodily harm. In other words, we have a fan, in the way rock stars and porn stars and tabloid personalities in the vein of Batboy have fans. His name, ladies and gentlemen, is Andrew. Neither of us know him outside of Internet -- that qualifies him as a fan.

As you may know, Zibbudie Babbuhl is little more than two young men acting stupid, writing about it, and sometimes taking pictures to accompany the text. For this reason, we rely on the contributions of others, be they in the form of moral support or harsh criticism, as means of broadening our horizons and taking cues from the community. When people like Andrew come along, epitomizing bravery by speaking to us via instant messaging with praise following the usual "a/s/l" back and forth, we take notice. We also take action.

I dub thee an honourary member of Babbuhlsquad. You are to go down in our tome.

Kyle edit: Thanks alot Andrew, we really appreciate it.

July 28, 2005

Well to be fair.

I stayed ay Jemsy's house for about 3 days, but this time, it was not all done without sleep, sleep was had, and we were revitalized each and every morning for more babbuhls, almost reminded of a folgers commercial at this second.

And finally, back on my own computer, windows ME never tasted so good, I log onto my blog to find it's been deleted, someone's been hacking my gibson, been a while since i've been on this machine, almost a month now, maybe more, in fact, I made our previous ZBL post from my father's machine, regardless, babbuhls will still manage to wriggle their way into the Zibbudie Babbuhl stratosphere, where magic is born, and rainbows comes to rest.

I was recently injured quite badly, I was put in the hospital for a while, this has hampered the ways of Zibbudie Babbuhl, but I made a confident return in the way of coming up with the greatest premise ever known to mankind, if anyone is wondering what happened to me, something quite heavy and sharp landed on my left wrist, cutting me quite deep and very widely, I remember it quite vividly, blood all over my room, my hand stained in red, I had to take my multi-tool and clamp down my vein so it would stop bleeding, went to the hospital after about an hour of bleeding, got my vein seutered up, the doc's told me I lost a massive amount of blood, any more lost and I would have needed a transfusion, which unluckily for me, my blood factor is quite rare.

To this day, in the right light, my arm/hand hair turns an opaque crimson color.

Jems' Birthday

Rather than regale you with our Halo2 matches and what not on this day(Team Claudio is black/TCIB kicked ass) I will simply put up some pictures, not many were taken, but those that were are of the highest quality.
---

There is Seb, and Pat, and Andre and a small bit of Claudio, you'll have to excuse the camera, he was drinking heavily the night before.

-
Here is Pat, fondling Chunky Monkey, notice the look of utter contempt on Chunky Monkey's face, I was sleeping on the couch in the background as I was up till 4am the night before.

-
Me and Evan, Evan is like the Fonz, totally cool and impervious to harm, he punched the xbox cause it wasn't working, totally blowing it up, his hand was totally unharmed, as you can see.

-
One word: Totallyfuckingawesome

-
Again, Evan showing off his unharmed hand from the previous Xbox punch, I call this dance The Hary Kary or the GABBA GABBA HEY, I did it once and Evan was totally enamored in it, I did thep ose and asked Evan, come on little man, let's do this, and we started dancing up a storm.

-
Before Evan left, we needed one last thumbs up for the night, it was glorious.

-
The most awesome of awesome pictures, the last of the people who were there, got into a group photo, incidently, myself, Andre and Seb were the only ones interested in doing a dumb pose, and well, seb didn't really intend on doing it either, it just works with him I suppose, and yes, I am wearing blue shades and doing the GABBA GABBA HEY.

And I am spent, tune in same Zibbudie Babbuhl Channel, Same Zibbudie Babbuhl Time.

An attempt at defining Zibbudie Babbuhl.

This is for you, Andre. Should be on Wikipedia soon.

Zibbudie Babbuhl refers to all acts of comedy, physical or otherwise, portrayed by or pertaining to Kyle Banyon Adam and James Jacobo-Mandryk, such that these acts define their lifestyle and social interactions.

"Zibbudie Babbuhl," used as an expression, oftentimes bookends such acts of comedy or brings their irreverent nature to the attention of all participants. It is usually meant to convey victory, determination, or simply the celebration of human existence. Shifts in tone can present "Zibbudie Babbuhl" as akin to saying "such is life."

On their own, "Zibbudie" and "Babbuhl" have respective meanings within the context of Zibbudie Babbuhl.

Zibbudie - adj. Of a nature that strikes those who accept Zibbudie Babbuhl, as positive. ("[That is] so zibbudie.")

Babbuhl - verb. To partake in activities that reflect or incorporate shenanigans inherent to Zibbudie Babbuhl. ("Let us babbuhl.")

Babbuhl - noun. An event characterized by babbuhling. ("Our longest babbuhl on record.")

Attempts have been made to humourously translate Zibbudie Babbuhl into various languages, with results that are essentially meaningless gibberish but reflect the comedy of Zibbudie Babbuhl to a T. For instance, the Italian equivalent would be "Sheppo di Pappo." "Ein Babbuhlheimer" has been suggested as a German expression that implies the same.

More to come.

Zibbudie Babbuhl Wiki

It's finally up, after two years of me and Jemsy saying "we should so do that" it's finally here.

A big thanks to Jems he did almost all of the work, while I sat back and read Wiki's about Pokémon in my boredom.

July 05, 2005

THIS IS NOT NAM SMOKEY, THIS IS BOWLING, THERE ARE RULES, MARK THE FAULT!!

God, I am tired, I was at jemsy's house for about 2 days, we didn't sleep a damn wink, we babbuhled, we talked, we watched movies, we did what were supposed to, plan and contrive new methods of babbuhling and new funny scenarios, our newest you ask?

Mickey Rourke (Jems edit: Mickey Rooney) getting in a tussle with the Black Eyed Peas, and various shens that can happen, it was at our worst of the sleep deprived stage, we were essentially babbling(see how close that is to babbuhling) stupid things that mickey (rooney) could do or would do, I could hardly flail my arms to simulate the defense he would fashion in his haste and old age.

Had alot of good food, and basically vegged around, what I call a good time, shens on an unparralel level.

This is the longest babbuhl on record, from 1pm yesterday to 9pm today, 32 hours.

Also, never buy silent hill 4 the room, it's crap.

Thoughts on Halo 2.

A prime example of a fine game being ruined by a shitty community. It's impossible to come by a matchmade game where people don't

a) Leave when they're on the losing team
b) Intentionally kill their teammates
c) Abuse their privilege to use the Xbox Live headset
d) Cheat using modified map files
e) Dominate through camping power weapons

I know it's a video game, but the lack of sportsmanship is astounding. We've had our share of great times with this one, but we're looking at five strikes here. Not one, two or three. Five. It's mind-numbingly aggravating when you sit back during the Post Game Carnage Report and see that what used to be a fun, competitive experience around which gleeful Babbuhls and extraordinary delivery were once based has become a wasteland of stupid people doing stupid things. The miserable shitbricks who find some kind of solace in mouthing off after the game are like a cherry-shaped gall stone on top of a cake made of shit. A layer cake, at that.

Halo 2, you were good to us until you were reamed by the countless $50 causes of your own success. I wearily look forward to your new maps, if only to see what comes of the patch released alongside them. You knock off a few of those strikes with cold hard justice and the technical means to support it, and then we'll talk. Until then, I think we're going to start snapping necks again. Believe you me, each vertebrae twisted into a shape vaguely resembling a pretzel will symbolize one of many screeching 12-year-olds who pissed on our magnificent parade.

In closing, here is a logo of sorts for Zibbudie Babbuhl. Feel free to recoil in astonishment. (By the way, that's faux-Latin for "He Who Dares, Babbuhls.")

Halo2, bye.

Yeah, I've recently given up playing Halo2, it's a really shitty community, and well, a pretty shitty game.

We haven't had a Babbuhl in a long time from Halo2, in fact we've probably had reverse Babbuhls, I think the game is pretty dead, albeit tens of thousands are playing it, I think we've played this one out.

We at Zibbudie Babbuhl Lane will continue to deliver quality Babbuhls.

Dreams

So me and jems were talking like we usually do, Zibudie Babbuhl, regaling past great games of halo2 or whatnot, doing comedy, general asshattery.

But suddenly I said:

"Jems, man, I had this fucked up dream, it was pretty crazy"
"tell me yours and i'll tell you mine"
"Yes"

So it goes like this:

Montreal had been infected by Zombies the Army had called in every trooper possible, and sent various members on rescue missions, oddly enough I was sent to Marymount Academy to check for any survivors, It went like any zombie movie, I drove to the back of Marymount in an Army Stryker pulled out my rifle, suited up and went in, obviously some people were infected, I killed them with grim dispatch, looking for my friends mainly, I found Jems:

"where the fuck is everybody?"
"I think Andrei is upstairs and Jono down the hall, both of them are hiding, the rest I don't know"
"alright, Jems, here's a pistol, shoot for the head and stay behind me"

We went down the hall to find Jono, he barracaded a door with a huge desk, smart of him I thought.

"Jono, get out of there, take one of my weapons, were gonna save everybody, have any idea where they might be?"
"last i heard they were down in the caf, hopefully they made it out better than the rest"
"yeah, I hope so too"
"Well, let's get going you two, you've been formally deputized as riflemen in the Canadian Armed forces, make your country proud, kick some ass."
"let's get Andrei from upstairs then head down the caf and go by the external staircase back to my stryker"

we went upstairs, touting my rifle and Jems/Jono both holding one of my many sidearms(I was armed in such a way so as to recruit other people to help me) we screamed

"Andrei! where are you?!"
*Bang* *Bang*

zombies kept dying.

"Andrei!"
"Brah!"
"Andrei? is that you!?"
*Brah as in saying yes*
"Where are you?!"
"In a locker Kyle"
"Jesus, andrei, okay give me a second"

I took my pistol out and shot the lock on the locker and sprung him out, handed him the pistol, and we retreated, barracaded the stairwell with a piece of wood and headed for the caf, the 4 of us now, we made a beeline, shot the lock from the caf doors, and on the stage a few tables were arranged in such a way as to create a perimeter.

"This is Specialist.Adam, Kyle Adam of the Canadian Forces, who's in charge any how many are you?"
"Kyle? it's me Seb! were about 7 people"
"About? I need to know Seb"
"yeah, 7 people"
"okay, were coming to you, don't shoot or anything if you have any sort of weapon"
"Okay."

I signalled Jems and Andrei to go around the right side and take their time, we don't know where they'll pop up,albeit slowly, we made it to the circle of tables.

"you've done a good job Seb, although, if they ever saw you, I doubt you could hold out, should have ran not knowing there was an escape vehicle for you coming, but nonetheless you did good work"

"But on to business, you've all been drafted in the Canadian Armed Forces Defense Initiative, I am to arm you, and were are to make our way to a militia base and receive further instruction, does anyone have a problem with that?"

I had no problems with the people, I don't remember everyone who was there, Seb, Pat, Kendall are the only ones who pop to my head, but there were 4 more people, whom I can't think of right now, but i'm sure it'll come to me.

and that's pretty much my dream, we escaped, and drove off to westmoun in the Stryker, lots of zombies died and it was generally a cool dream.

It sounds really dumb, but hell, it was cool as fonz.

Congrats from Zibbudie Babbuhl

Since the other half of Zibbudie Babbuhl isn't around, and probably won't be all day.

Congrats to all you guys.

I'd do some sort of speech, but well, i'm tired, and i'm cranky as all hell, so that's all you'll get out of me.

Don't have too much fun.

June 24, 2005

A new gif!

I made a new gif based off of the amazing comic Achewood (props to Chris Onstad, you are a true genius)

I found the comic really cute, and well, funny as all hell, I laughed so much my ribs felt like they were cracking.

well, enough jibba-jabba, on with the content.

Injury Report

Yes, I am still very injured, I coughed up blood at about 2am, and I was taken to the E.R asap, got ot a doctor at 4am, looked me over again, he tells me it somehow "An act of god" and that I perhaps Sinned

But he did ask me if anything stressful has happened to me lately, and well, yes, something had, so he wrote that off as the most probable reason, it makes sense, and he gave me more apo-aproxyine or whatever it's called, suffice it to say, i'm not in any good condition.

what does this mean fair citizen?

I cannot do the Kyle Laugh.

my means of existance and ultimate expression are robbed from me, it is a sad day in the world of Zibbudie Babbuhl.

Resident Evil 4

God, for a long time, I have always said:

"I want to play Resident Evil 4"
"I'm gonna buy Resident Evil 4"
"Resident Evil 4 looks amazing"

I'm lazy though, so I never got to playing it...until tonight.

It was glorious, so very glorious.

The game is so atmospheric, it takes you into a spanish hamlet almost immediately, you are Leon, a former SWAT member turned agent for the U.S government, your mission is to save the president's daughter from a religious cult, known only as the "los illuminos" armed only with a 9mm handgun, you make your venture into unknown territory, you soon discover that all the civilians are ravenous, but still very intelligent, they attack you, and sudden;y, you are stuck, fighting 1-30 people at a time, using everything at your disposal to get out of it alive.

In fact, I remember the most memorable occasion, myself and one of the friendly characters "Luis" had to hole ourselves up in a small 2 floor house while the citizens of this hamlet were laying siege to us, breaking through windows, doors etc, in an attempt of intelligence, I pushed wall-units in front of windows to impede their progress, I pushed down ladders, and pumped shotgun round after shotgun round into merciless monsters.

The game is amazing.

Battle music for this game : Jems and me singing "Reading Rainbow"
Butterfly in the sky, I can fly so high

Halo2 at 5 in the morning.

Yes, you heard me, myself and jemsy were up till the crack of dawn playing Halo2, neither of us were tired and I needed to think, suprisingly, we took house for most of the games, Jems and myself are starting to master the whole "2 of us sticking together all the time" when we both work together, we usually can't lose, even against a vastly superior force, so many times did we infiltrate the base, kill warthog's full of people, tanks and opposing forces, with a battle rifle, and jemsy's aim with a rocket launcher, albeit, he dissapeared once, when i faced a full gauss warthog down when he was supposed to support me, but he went around and killed all three of them later, took the flag, and ran pretty far, but they caught up with us.

Some really good games, especially for it being 5am, being stuck with most of the brits and odd gamers who eat unborn children, and taunt you constantly, it's a totally different game at 5am, it's like, the world shifts under your feet.

Best battle music ever: Rob Zombie - Dragula
Dig through the ditches and burn through the witches
I slam in the back of my Dragula

What were listening to pt.3

You know the drill, in a vain attempt to make the world a better place, we share our music, it may not be glorious work, but damnit, somebody has to do it.

Royksopp - Circuit Breaker/Only This Moment/Boys
Royksopp is the Lord Jesus Christ in European form, there is truly nothing this band can do wrong, sorry to our christian readers, but get with the program, this "God" you worship, he can not spin a beat like Royksopp.

Aimee Mann - Save me/One
She has an amazing sound, a great sense of music and a perfect voice for her guitar playing, this music may not be new at all, but you know, if I haven't heard it before, it's new to me.

Hooverphonic - Inhaler
Hooverphonic is hard to define, it's very trip-hop with a big mix of electronica, suffice it to say, it kicks copious amounts of ass, in fact, I'll go so far as to say every little bit of music here kicks ass, so that goes witohut saying.

Massive Attack - Spying Glass/Better Things/Teardrop
Massive Attack essentially pioneered the Trip-Hop scene quite some time ago, they are still going strong, some of the greatest Trip-Hop has come from these people, may Royksopp bless them.

Pepe Deluxe - Just Let Go/A Moment in Black and White
Pepe Deluxe is probably one of the most uncommon bands around, it's really unfortunate, they sound amazing with every song, honestly, their whole album is perfect, not one bad song, quite a rarity these days.

I am done.

Majestic sound round and round and round glad you're next to me <3

Zibbudie Babbuhl*3

Yes!

we at Zibbudie Babbuhl are back, we have been reclusive, playing games, growing beards down to our feet, but now, now is the time, we have shaven, we have cleaned up, we have stories, stories of splendor, of smacking guards in the face, of sniping, warthog driving, and devious conniving.
(I just rapped, please, hold the applause)

Zibbudie Babbuhl now has a registered killcount in Halo2, this count being at well over eleventy billion, we have subsequently stopped counting.

Also, Heroclix has hit the world, well, any of the world which matters to me, everyone plays now, well any cool-cat hip-jive talking turkeys, the game played with everyone possible, was amazing, I would give a play by play, but it would be so awesome, it would blow your collective minds.

Splinter Cell 3, dear god, this game was devised for Zibbudie, Red&Blue have never been more so compelling colors now, with every stab of the knife, every grab of the character, we become closer to gods, fearful powerful beings of which no mere mortal may challenge.

There's more, but well, it's all become one huge inside joke were(myself and Jemsy) are starting to share, and well, as much as either of us try, inside jokes are not funny to anyone else.

I might not be the right one,
It might not be the right time.
But there's something about us,
I've got to do, some kind of secret I will share with you.
I need you more than anything in my life.
I want you more than anything in my life.
I'll miss you more than anyone in my life.
I love you more than anyone in my life.

March 26, 2005

That's right.

I can't really add anything to that layer of intrigue, so I'll just reiterate:

It will be devious. It will be glorious. It's going to be sofa king awesome.

Stay tuned.

Jems an I, have a project in the works!

Yeah, Jems and I, have a large project in the works, details are a little sketchy(i can't tell you) but it's gonna be something really special, really huge, and well, really easy to do, as me and jems discuss it more and more, it'll get better and better, it really is something for the ages.

So stay tuned, same Zibbudie Babbuhl time, same Zibbudie Babbuhl channel.

And never let me go until you've told me, told me
What I want to know and then just hold me, hold me
Make me tell you I'm in love with you
